Shoe size conversion

Overview

Shoes on Javern come from many Vendors and brands, each using their own size system. Foot length in centimetres is the most accurate reference — measure your foot, then use the chart.

Measure your foot

Stand on a piece of paper with your weight on the foot.
Mark the tip of your longest toe and the back of your heel.
Measure the distance in cm.
Do both feet — go with the larger measurement.
Add ~0.5 cm for comfort room.

Kids' shoes

Kids' sizes vary widely between brands — use foot length in cm and cross-check with the Vendor's chart. Add ~1 cm for growing room.

Tips

Measure feet in the evening (they swell slightly during the day).
Wear the type of socks you'd wear with the shoe when measuring.
If your two feet are different sizes, buy for the bigger foot.
Different shoe types (heels, sneakers, boots) fit differently even at the same nominal size — check reviews if you can.
