How do I write a store description — quick answer with steps and helpful context for Javern users.

Overview

Your store description is the short intro buyers see on your store page. Keep it short, clear, and specific — what you sell, who it's for, and any signature detail that sets you apart.

Add or edit it

  1. Open your vendor dashboard.
  2. Go to "Store Settings".
  3. Edit "Store description" and save.

What to include

  • What you sell. In one line — categories, style, or focus.
  • Who it's for. Streetwear for Lagos women in their 20s; menswear for tall guys; kids' shoes; etc.
  • What makes you stand out. Made-to-order, hand-finished, imported, exclusive drops — one thing is enough.
  • Delivery reach or promise if it's distinctive (fast local turnaround, weekend deliveries).

What to leave out

  • Full policies. Put returns, shipping, and warranty in "Policies" — buyers can read them there.
  • Long backstory. A sentence about your inspiration is fine; a full origin story usually isn't.
  • Sale banners. Use promotions and coupons for time-sensitive offers instead.

Example structure

[Brand name] is a [niche] store for [audience]. We specialise in [signature detail]. New drops every [cadence]. Based in [city], delivering [reach].
