How do I add store policies?

How do I add store policies — quick answer with steps and helpful context for Javern users.

Updated 31 July 2026

Overview

Each store on Javern sets its own return, shipping, and warranty policies. Clear policies help buyers understand what to expect, cut back on disputes, and set the ground rules for the order chat.

Add or edit your policies

  1. Open your vendor dashboard.
  2. Go to "Store Settings" → "Policies".
  3. Fill in each policy and save.

Return policy

Cover:

  • Return window — how many days after delivery a buyer can raise a return.
  • What's returnable — condition (unworn, tags on), packaging.
  • What's non-returnable — final sale, custom-made, hygiene items.
  • Who pays return shipping — see Who pays return shipping?.
  • Refund or exchange — what you offer.

Shipping policy

Cover:

  • Processing time — how long you take to pack and ship after accepting.
  • Delivery areas — cities or regions you deliver to.
  • Delivery times — rough expectations by area.
  • Courier — who you use.
  • Costs — how you price shipping (also configured in your shipping options).

Warranty policy

Cover:

  • What kind of defect or damage you'll cover after delivery.
  • The window during which you'll cover it.
  • What the buyer needs to send you to make a claim (photos, video).

Tips

  • Keep it short and plain — buyers should be able to scan it in seconds.
  • Set expectations you can actually meet — over-promising leads to disputes.
  • Update policies as you learn what works.
