How do I report abuse?
How do I report abuse — quick answer with steps and helpful context for Javern users.
Overview
Abusive, threatening, harassing, or hateful behaviour has no place on Javern — from buyers, sellers, or anyone else. If someone crosses the line in the order chat or anywhere else on the platform, report them. Reports are confidential and we act on them.
What to report
- Threats or intimidation.
- Harassment or repeated unwanted contact.
- Hateful language — racism, sexism, homophobia, and similar.
- Sexually explicit or unsolicited content.
- Attempts to bully or coerce you into cancelling, changing a review, or paying more.
How to report
- Take screenshots of the conversation or content — including timestamps if visible.
- Contact our support team.
- Include:
- Your order ID, if this happened inside an order chat.
- The username or store name of the person you're reporting.
- Screenshots and a short description of what happened.
While you wait
- Don't reply. Nothing you say will improve the situation and everything you say becomes part of the record.
- Block if you can. In the app, you can usually block a user or store from further contact.
- Preserve evidence. Don't delete the chat or messages.
What we do
We review the report, check the full context, and take proportionate action — a warning, a suspension, or removal from Javern. Threats of violence or content involving minors are escalated immediately and, where appropriate, reported to law enforcement.
If you're in immediate physical danger, contact local emergency services first — Javern support can follow up after you're safe.
