Why was my application rejected?
Why was my application rejected — quick answer with steps and helpful context for Javern users.
Updated 31 July 2026
Overview
Javern doesn't gate seller sign-ups behind an approval — creating an account and a store is instant. What can get "rejected" is usually BVN verification (which activates your vendor wallet and payouts) or a store that's been suspended for policy reasons.
BVN verification failing
The most common reason a seller can't complete setup:
- Name or date of birth on your Javern account doesn't match your BVN.
- BVN was entered incorrectly.
- Details on your bank account don't match your BVN name.
Fix these details and try verification again. See How do I verify my BVN?.
Store suspended
If your store has been suspended, we'll email you the reason. Common causes:
- Selling prohibited or counterfeit items.
- Repeated auto-cancellations or unfulfilled orders.
- Fraud, abuse, or misuse of the platform.
- Repeated buyer complaints.
To dispute or ask for reinstatement, contact our support team with your store name and any context.
