Why can't I receive notifications?

Fix missing push and email notifications from Javern.

Updated 31 July 2026

Overview

Missing notifications are usually a system-level permission or an out-of-date app. Push and email are handled separately, so it's worth checking each.

Push notifications

  1. Enable notifications in your device settings. iOS: Settings → Notifications → Javern (or Javern Vendor). Android: Settings → Apps → Javern → Notifications. Make sure notifications are allowed.
  2. Don't Disturb / Focus mode — check whether these are silencing Javern.
  3. Sign back in. Sign out and sign in again to refresh your notification token.
  4. Update the app. Older versions sometimes lose notification permissions after OS updates. Update via the App Store or Google Play Store.
  5. Reinstall the app. If nothing else works, delete and reinstall. Your account and data are unaffected.

Email notifications

  1. Check your spam / junk folder. Some providers send Javern emails there. Mark them as "Not spam".
  2. Check the email on your account. It might be an old address you don't check.
  3. Add support@javern.com to your contacts so emails come through to your inbox.
  4. Check whether you unsubscribed — you can resubscribe from your notification preferences.

What Javern actually notifies you about

  • Order status changes (accepted, shipped, delivered, cancelled, refunded).
  • Chat messages (push only, no email).
  • Marketing campaigns from stores you follow (if enabled).
  • Store follows notifications (new drops, low stock).
  • Wallet activity — top-ups, refunds, withdrawal status.
