What is available balance?

What is available balance — quick answer with steps and helpful context for Javern users.

Updated 31 July 2026

Overview

Your available balance is the amount you can withdraw right now. Exactly how it fills up depends on whether you're using a Javern Wallet or the legacy pending/withdrawable balance setup.

Where to see it

  1. Open your vendor dashboard.
  2. Tap "Wallet".
  3. Your available balance is shown at the top, with recent transactions below.

If you have a Javern Wallet

  • Every accepted order credits your available balance immediately.
  • There's no waiting or pending step.
  • You can withdraw at any time (as long as your available balance covers the amount + ₦10 fee).

If you're on the legacy setup (no Javern Wallet yet)

You have two balances on your account:

  • Pending balance — where earnings sit right after you accept an order.
  • Withdrawable balance — moves here when the buyer confirms delivery. This is what you can actually withdraw.

Verify your BVN to activate your Javern Wallet — see How do I verify my BVN?. Both your pending and withdrawable balances migrate into your wallet's available balance in one go, and everything becomes withdrawable right away.

What reduces it

  • Withdrawals to your bank.
  • Refunds you issue on returns or disputes.
