What are withdrawal fees?
What are withdrawal fees — quick answer with steps and helpful context for Javern users.
Overview
A flat ₦10 transaction fee applies to each Javern Wallet withdrawal. It's deducted from your available balance alongside the withdrawal itself.
What you'll see
- You enter the amount you want to send to your bank.
- Your available balance is checked to make sure it covers the amount plus the ₦10 fee.
- Paystack sends the transfer; your wallet history shows two entries: a
withdrawaldebit for the amount you sent, and atransaction_feedebit for ₦10.
Fewer, larger withdrawals cost less
Because the fee is per withdrawal, batching a few days of orders into one transfer is more efficient than withdrawing after every single sale.
Legacy setup (no Javern Wallet)
If you're on the legacy pending/withdrawable balance flow (before you've verified your BVN and activated a Javern Wallet), Javern doesn't add a fee to the withdrawal itself. Paystack's own transfer fee still applies on their end.
Not the same as seller fees
The 5% commission and ₦500 service fee come out when you accept an order — see What are seller fees? and How are my earnings calculated?. Withdrawal fees are separate and only apply when you move money from your wallet to your bank.
