What are seller fees?
What are seller fees — quick answer with steps and helpful context for Javern users.
Updated 31 July 2026
Overview
Two fees come out of each accepted order:
- 5% admin commission on the product subtotal (not on shipping, not on the service fee).
- ₦500 flat service fee per order.
Shipping passes through to you in full. When you withdraw from your Javern Wallet, a flat ₦10 transaction fee applies.
The formula
For every accepted order, you earn:
(product subtotal × 0.95) + shipping
The platform keeps (product subtotal × 5%) + ₦500.
Worked example
An order totals ₦20,000 (₦18,000 product + ₦2,000 shipping):
- 5% commission on the ₦18,000 product subtotal = ₦900
- Flat service fee = ₦500
- Shipping passes through = ₦2,000
- You earn: (18,000 − 900) + 2,000 = ₦19,100
- Platform keeps: ₦900 + ₦500 = ₦1,400
Where the money lands
- If you have a Javern Wallet (BVN verified): earnings are credited to your wallet's available balance immediately on accept.
- If you don't have a Javern Wallet yet: earnings go to your legacy
pending balanceand become withdrawable only after the buyer confirms delivery. Verify your BVN to activate your wallet and skip the pending step — see How do I verify my BVN?.
Withdrawal fee
Separately, a ₦10 transaction fee applies to each Javern Wallet withdrawal. See What are withdrawal fees?.
