I can't upload images.

Fix image upload issues on Javern — product photos, chat images, and profile pictures.

Overview

If an image won't upload, it's almost always the file, the connection, or app permissions. Run through this checklist and one of them usually sorts it.

Quick checks

  • File type — JPG and PNG work everywhere. HEIC, WebP, and TIFF may not.
  • File size — most upload paths cap around 10 MB per image. If yours is bigger, resize or compress.
  • Connection — a shaky connection interrupts uploads. Try Wi-Fi if you're on mobile data, or vice versa.
  • App permissions — the Javern app needs "Photos" or "Storage" permission on your phone. Check your device settings.
  • Space on your phone — nearly full storage often blocks uploads. Free up some room.
  • Latest app version — update via the App Store or Google Play Store (or the Javern Vendor app).

For Vendors uploading product photos

  • Try one at a time to see if a specific image is the problem.
  • Rename the file to something short and simple with no special characters.
  • Convert HEIC / WebP to JPG using your phone's built-in tools or an online converter.
