How do I ship an order?
How do I ship an order — quick answer with steps and helpful context for Javern users.
Updated 31 July 2026
Overview
Once you've accepted an order, you handle the delivery yourself — you pick the courier, pack the parcel, and update the order status as you go. Javern doesn't ship on your behalf, so it's on you to make sure the parcel gets to the buyer.
The shipping flow
- Accept the order. See How do I accept an order?.
- Prepare the parcel. Pack the items securely, include any packing slip or note you like to send.
- Move the order to "Order Processing" in your dashboard while you're packing.
- Hand off to your courier — this is entirely your choice. Use whichever service you normally use to reach the buyer's address.
- Mark the order as "Shipped" once the parcel is on its way. See How do I mark an order as shipped?.
- Update to "Out for Delivery" when the courier confirms it's out with them for the final leg.
- Mark as "Order Completed" once the buyer confirms delivery, or when you've confirmed the parcel was delivered. See How do I mark an order as delivered?.
Communicating with the buyer
The order chat opens the moment you accept an order. Use it to:
- Confirm the delivery window with the buyer.
- Share a courier name and tracking number if you have one.
- Flag any delays before the buyer chases you.
Setting your delivery options
Buyers pick a shipping option at checkout based on what you've set up. Manage your shipping rates in "Store Settings" → "Shipping" — you can name them, price them, and toggle them on or off.
