How do I report fraud?
How do I report fraud — quick answer with steps and helpful context for Javern users.
Overview
If you suspect fraud — a scam attempt, a fake store, an unauthorised charge, or someone impersonating Javern — report it to us as soon as you can. Include as much detail as possible so we can act quickly.
Report to support
- Contact our support team.
- Include:
- What happened, in order (dates and times help).
- Your order ID, if there was an order involved.
- Screenshots of any messages, emails, or transactions.
- The name and username of the person or store involved.
- Any payment reference or amount if money moved.
The more evidence you send in one go, the faster we can look into it.
While you wait
- Don't reply to the person you're reporting.
- Change your Javern password if you shared anything you shouldn't have. See How do I change my password?.
- Call your bank immediately if you sent money outside Javern or think your card was misused.
What we can do
Depending on what we find, we can suspend the offending account, reverse an unfinished payment, refund from your Javern Wallet where relevant, and take further action across the platform.
We can't recover money you sent outside Javern — those transfers happen through your bank, which is why we always warn against off-platform payments. See How do I avoid scams?.
