How do I manage inventory?
How do I manage inventory — quick answer with steps and helpful context for Javern users.
Updated 31 July 2026
Overview
Every product variant on Javern has its own stock count. When a buyer pays, the stock for that variant is deducted automatically. If an order is rejected, auto-cancelled, or refunded, the stock is put back. Your job is to keep the counts in step with what you actually have.
Update stock
- Open your vendor dashboard.
- Tap "Products" → open the product.
- Update the stock count for each variant (size + colour combo).
- Save.
How it changes automatically
- Order paid — variant stock goes down by the ordered quantity.
- Order rejected, auto-cancelled, or refunded — the same quantity is added back to stock.
Turning on low-stock alerts
Enable low-stock notifications in your store preferences so you get a heads-up before you run out:
- Open your vendor dashboard.
- Go to "Profile" on the taskbar.
- Toggle "Low stock alerts" on.
Good practice
- Check inventory before you go live with a new drop.
- Update stock as soon as you spot a shortfall — accurate stock prevents rejections.
- If you sell offline too, sync stock at the end of each day.
