How do I create coupons?

Overview

Coupons let you offer buyers a discount they redeem with a code at checkout. Each coupon is tied to your store and only applies to your products.

Create a coupon

1. Open your vendor dashboard.
2. Tap "Profile" → "Discounts and Coupons".
3. Tap "New coupon".
4. Configure:
   • Code — what buyers type at checkout (e.g., WELCOME10).
   • Type — percentage (e.g., 10% off) or fixed amount (e.g., ₦2,000 off).
   • Minimum order amount — set if the coupon should only apply above a threshold.
   • Maximum discount — cap on a percentage coupon.
   • Usage limits — total uses across all buyers, or uses per buyer.
   • Date range — start and end date.
5. Save.

How buyers use it

At checkout, buyers enter the code in the coupon field. If the code is valid and the cart meets the rules, the discount is applied and the total updates.

Track usage

Each coupon shows how many times it's been used and by whom in your discounts dashboard.

Tips

• Keep codes short and easy to type.
• Set an end date so old coupons don't linger.
• Cap usage on aggressive discounts so a viral share doesn't wipe you out.
