How do I contact buyers?
How do I contact buyers — quick answer with steps and helpful context for Javern users.
Updated 31 July 2026
Overview
The order chat opens as soon as you accept an order — that's your direct line to the buyer for anything to do with that order. You can send text or images, and the buyer gets a push notification for each new message.
Open the chat
- Open the Javern Vendor app.
- Tap "Chats" (or open the order and tap the chat icon).
- Pick the chat with the buyer you want to reach.
- Type your message and send. Attach an image if it helps.
The chat starts with an auto-posted order summary so you're both looking at the same details.
When chat is available
- Available: from the moment you accept the order, through processing, shipping, and after delivery.
- Not available: before you accept — buyers can't reach you through Javern chat until then.
What to use chat for
- Confirming a delivery window with the buyer.
- Sharing a courier name and tracking number.
- Flagging a delay before the buyer chases you.
- Asking questions about the address or a nearby landmark.
- Working through a return or a problem with the parcel.
Response time
Buyers see when you last replied, and quick responses build trust and repeat orders. Try to reply within a business day whenever possible.
