How do I connect my bank account?
How do I connect my bank account — quick answer with steps and helpful context for Javern users.
Overview
We only ask you to save a bank account if you're on the legacy payout setup (using pending and withdrawable balances, before you've activated a Javern Wallet). Once you verify your BVN and get a Javern Wallet, you don't need to save a bank account — you just type the account details each time you withdraw.
If you're on the legacy setup (no Javern Wallet yet)
Save up to 3 bank accounts from your vendor dashboard:
- Open your vendor dashboard.
- Tap "Wallet" → "Bank Accounts".
- Tap "Add bank account".
- Enter:
- Bank name (from the dropdown).
- Account number (10 digits).
- Confirm the account name that comes back is yours.
- Save.
Your legacy withdrawals will use whichever saved account you pick at withdrawal time.
If you have a Javern Wallet
You don't save bank accounts. When you withdraw:
- Enter the account number and pick the bank.
- Optionally use "Resolve" to confirm the account name before sending.
- Confirm and Paystack sends the transfer.
Your Javern Wallet also has a virtual account (a dedicated Wema NUBAN) tied to it — that's for receiving deposits into the wallet, not for sending out.
To activate your Javern Wallet
Verify your BVN — see How do I verify my BVN?. Any existing pending and withdrawable balances migrate into your wallet's available balance in one go.
