How do I accept an order?
How do I accept an order — quick answer with steps and helpful context for Javern users.
Overview
When a buyer pays, the order lands in your dashboard as "Awaiting Vendors Approval". You have 72 hours to accept or reject it — if you don't act in that window, it's automatically cancelled and the buyer is refunded. Accepting opens the chat with the buyer and moves the order forward.
Accept an order
- Open the Javern Vendor app.
- Tap "Orders" and find any order with status "Awaiting Vendors Approval".
- Open the order to review the items, delivery address, and shipping option.
- Tap "Accept Order".
The order moves to "Accepted By Vendor" and:
- A chat opens with the buyer, and an order-summary message is posted automatically.
- Your earnings for that order are settled —
(product subtotal × 0.95) + shipping, with a flat ₦500 service fee also deducted. See How are my earnings calculated?. - If you have a Javern Wallet, the amount hits your available balance immediately. If you're on the legacy setup, it goes to your pending balance and moves to withdrawable once the buyer confirms delivery.
- The buyer is notified by email and push.
Auto-accept
If you don't want to accept every order manually, turn on auto-accept in your store preferences. Orders will move from "Payment Received" straight to "Accepted By Vendor" the moment payment is confirmed.
- Open your vendor dashboard.
- Go to "Store Settings" → "Preferences".
- Toggle "Auto-accept orders" on.
After accepting
Prepare and pack the order, then move it through the flow: Order Processing → Shipped → Out for Delivery → Order Completed. See How do I ship an order?.
