Can I change my bank account?

Can I change my bank account — quick answer with steps and helpful context for Javern users.

Updated 31 July 2026

Overview

How you manage bank accounts depends on which payout setup you're on. Legacy vendors (using pending and withdrawable balances) save bank accounts in the dashboard. Javern Wallet vendors don't save any — they type the account at withdrawal time.

Legacy setup (no Javern Wallet yet)

Manage up to 3 saved bank accounts from your dashboard:

  1. Open your vendor dashboard.
  2. Tap "Wallet" → "Bank Accounts".
  3. Add a new account, or remove one you no longer use.
  4. When you request a withdrawal, pick which saved account it should go to.

Javern Wallet setup

There's nothing to change or save. Each time you withdraw:

  1. Enter the account number.
  2. Pick the bank.
  3. Optionally use "Resolve" to confirm the account name matches.
  4. Confirm to send.

Good to know

  • The account name must match your BVN name — Paystack won't send transfers to a name that doesn't match. See Why was my withdrawal rejected?.
  • Nigerian bank accounts only.
  • Withdrawals already in flight go to whichever account they were requested for.
